Tunnelbau was engaged by the John Holland/Jacobs/Transport for NSW partnership to assist with the feasibility study and alignment of the 400m cable tunnel to connect a new substation to the existing Airport tunnel in Mascot. We also managed the equipment procurement (inc. 3m dia slurry TBM and jacking pipes to meet a strict 120 life span) and implemented a monitoring program during excavation. We successfully managed concurrent tunnel works within a tight inner city environment with multiple utility and transport stakeholders.
